Grandma Colleen was in town Thanksgiving weekend and enjoyed a nice time together.

South Coast Botanical Gardens

We spent a beautiful day at the South Coast Botanical Gardens in Palos Verdes. What a gem of a place this is. They have themed gardens and is a good time walking around and taking in all the sights and smells. Misty thouroughly enjoyed herself in the Children's Garden as well.

Halloween 2010

Randy, Courtney & Misty came over to celebrate my birthday, share a nice dinner, and enjoy some pumpkin carving. Was a great time and was fun to see Misty dig out the "yuckies"!

The Dugan's trip to the pumpkin patch!

This was our first trip to the pumpkin patch as a family. Lola enjoyed sniffing all the smells and taking in the scenery. Maureen and I each picked a pumpkin that we'll eventually carve up to spook all the trick-or-treaters!

This is Halloween: Dugan Style

Since this our first Halloween at home, we've decided to decorate and give our house a spookey look. I'm sure all the trick-or-treaters will enjoy a little frightening by the bats, spiders, and our welcoming ghost! Have a Happy Halloween!!

Hottest day in So. Cal. history & the new camera.

Today was the hottest day in recorded history of weather keeping for the Southern California area. Tempretures in Lakewood reached 113 degrees. Our Indian Summer was very mild as tempretures only reached in the 90s for a couple days. I believe I was quoted as saying, "so... where's our Global Warming now?" Well, the tables have turned. It was completely unbearable today and felt like there was a massive hole in our ozone layer directly above L.A. Hopefully it cools down soon.

So we finally mustered up to a DSLr: Canon Rebel T2i with 300mm lense! Awesome! It's our early Christmas present for our trip to Kauai in 3 days, and for the coming arrival of Baby Dugan and millions of pictures we'll be taking for coming years. These are a couple test shots I took with the new rig while finding an eight legged friend in our garden.

Lola - 6 months old!

Our little lolita Lola is now 6 months old. This is a milestone for dogs. She is growing out of her "childhood" stage and entering her adolescence. She's 38 lbs now and is almost full grown. She's already beginning to stop eating her lunch, and now only needs to be fed twice a day. Her energy is still fully abundant as she continues growing. Her Springer traits are beginning to show as well.

Our hummingbirds

We've had a hummingbird feeder in the backyard for just about 6 months now, but have never taken pictures of them feeding. Here below are some snaps of a bird enjoying some of that fine Dugan nectar they've come to love so well.

Brother CJ and Sister Lola

Some of the fun in the Dugan household is watching the interaction between CJ and Lola. CJ is getting more and more comfortable with her by the day. Lola is still upset that he doesn't play with her, or show any interest in her for that matter. Here below we caught them snoozing on the floor about 3 feet away from each other.
